Dry bag replacement

My drybags clear viewing window had somehow become fatigued and started to crack and have loads of small holes. Mosko Moto accepted it as a fault and promptly sent out a replacement item. This particular experience was top notch and I couldn't ask for any better support

Fit and finish is professional grade

Not only is this gear top notch right out of the box. It works right. Its tight compact, expandabke and modular. I melted a buckle on my ride through baja and wad able tonreplace parts at minimal cost. I didnt try for a warranty ad it was my fault.

Hey there Joseph,
I hope you had a rad rip in Baja! If you have any more issues reach out and I'll get you taken care of!

Cheers,

Best ADVENTURE luggage system - Reckless 80

This review is for the Reckless 80 system. Not only the side dry bags.

Coming from someone who has used a LOT of luggage system let me share my 2 cents for the undecided...

Material quality
First things first. If you have never used a Mosko Moto luggage it's simply not possible to get a feeling on how rugged their products are just by watching reviews online. I'm not a textile expert but the outer fabric is TOUGH. This thing is built like a tank! By now I already own several Mosko Mosko products and once you experience this quality is hard to go back to other brands.

Water proofness
With my Backcountry duffle I already got the chance to experience 3 days of pure rain and their 2 bag system has proven to be very effective. The outer textile shell is protection and the internal dry bag does the water proofing. With the Reckless 80 I've only caught a few hours of moderate rain but since the system is exactly the same I can't see it failing on me. I've had no issues with the few hours or rain so far.
TIP - Make sure to roll the ends of the dry bag at least 2-3 times to ensure a proper seal.

Revolver system
I installed the reckless 80 on my CB500X and the revolving system is great. It really lets you choose the best angulation of the 2 holster legs based on your bike' size.
TIP - Make sure to check your exhaust pipe! On a CB500X the bag stays far away from the exhaust pipe but this will vary bike by bike. If needed install a heat shield otherwise you will damage your bag.

Additional attachment points
As with many Mosko products the product gives you a lot of flexibility when it comes to attachment points. Not only you get 3 Molle webbings but lots of loops/rings hidden in strategic places to let you fit the system the best way it suits you.
TIP - Voile straps are a great match to this product.

Mounting system
If you are coming from a hard case system you MUST understand adaptation is needed. The attachment system of the reckless system is strap based.
With a strap system you get higher flexibility, reduced weight, increased durability. But this is not a plug&play system on a rack. Once you get used to mounting the R80 you will realise it takes about 3-4 minutes to strap the outer shell + 4-5 minutes to insert all dry bags, tight every thing down, roll ups the straps, and have a final check all is OK to start riding. You see, You need to account for up to 10 minutes without rushing yourself to get it all set up.
Considering that I'm riding for at least 5 hours in a day, these 10 minutes are small price I'm willing to pay for the additional benefits.
PRO TIP 1 - I bought the Gnoblin upgrade attachment from Mesmo Mosko and in my opinion it is well worth it. you eliminate 3 straps from the back of the system to a single attachment point. Reduce 2 minutes from the whole process and creates a very strong attachment point.
PRO TIP 2 - Do not overpack the side dry bags!! If you make them "too" fat it will be hard to push them in all the way. Trust me. Do not overpack the pegs.
PRO TIP 3 - Lets your side dry bags get dirty. Somehow the slide easier once there is some dust on them ;).

Who is this product for?
You travel to RIDE. You don't ride to TRAVEL.

You are on your bike because you enjoy being on the move exploring with your motorcycle. That's the adventure for you. The R80 is a great companion that you can rely on to bring your stuff with you.

If however you enjoy travelling and it just happens that a motorcycle is your mean of transport, I think there are cheaper products that will work for you.

If you are doing a lot of city commuting or you expect to often have to get off your bike and go explore the city by foot. In my opinion that's not what the product is made for. This is a product to go on an adventure.
