Great over-pant for off road

I rode in a pair of Aerostich AD1 pants for years before switching the the Rak pant. What I like about the Rak pants:
- Much better / bigger fly gusset (major complaint with the AD1).
- Roomier. Easier to get my leg over the bike.
- Packs smaller.
- Colors other than black.

What I liked better about the AD1:
- Better Velcro closure design at the bottom of the legs.

The Rak pant just doesn’t get as tight to the leg as the AD1 because it doesn’t have as much Velcro area and when you do it folds over the zipper which bows the bottom of the pant leg out. Gives the snow pants look which is less than awesome, but I can live with that since the other features beat out my former pants. Nobody wants a wet crotch.

Hey Ryan, We're glad you are enjoying your Rak Pants! Our main goal with these was to prevent a soggy butt, and in doing so solved the wet crotch problem!

Cheers,
Casey

Great pant Issues with sizing

The Pants are great, a little bulky for a rain pant.
Im normally 31 and i order the 32, i was not able to close it even only wearing a jean, mosko take it back and now im waiting for a 34 size, hope it works.
Lost a lot of money on the shipping, custom and taxes from US to colombia and sending it back :(

Perfect

Really comfortable, easy to take on and off. One thing I wish was different. Nothing to do with the pants itself but a patch of fabric should be included. I managed to rip the lower part around the boots on the foot pegs. Don’t think a repair shop has this exact color in fabric

New to Mosko

I decided to replace my older rain gear with Mosko Rak Pullover and Pants; let say these puppies did not disappoint! I immediately took them out on 1k BDR trip in CO and UT and went through some high altitude cold weather and rain storms and the kit help up awesome!
I ended up going a size up on the pullover so I had a bit more room with my armor but overall everything fit great and as advertised. TBH this jacket will probably be my ski jacket as well I like it so much :)

Rak Overpant

Size
Size Guide >

The Rak Overpant adds rugged weather protection to any backcountry riding kit. Motorcycling is the only sport we know of where people wear rain gear even when it’s not wet, despite the obvious heat and comfort challenges that presents. With the Rak Overpant you can tour in whichever non-waterproof riding pants you choose, and still have total confidence in foul weather.

This season we improved the on/off feature by adding fully separating, full-length side zips. Now it is even easier to throw the Rak over whatever you are wearing. Double-layer reinforcements in the knees and seat add durability in high-wear areas. Combine the Rak with the Woodsman (or any comfortable trail pant) for a durable waterproof layering system in every kind of weather.

The best way to expand the bookends of tolerable riding conditions is through layering. An RTW (Round The World) touring kit should be comfortable in blistering desert heat, and also freezing rain and snowy passes, because you’ll probably encounter all of that. Side-zip moto overpants have always existed (mostly for commuters), but for us the idea started with backcountry hunting gear. Backcountry hunters don’t like waterproof pants because they’re noisy, so when the rain stops, their rain pants come off. That same concept applies to offroad and ADV, except for us the issue is comfort rather than noise. When it’s not raining – like in the desert for example - why are we still wearing waterproof gear? With the Rak Overpant you can choose whatever all-day riding pant you want – whether mesh, soft shell, or a classic dirt bike pant, in-boot or over-boot – and still have reliable protection in rain or snow.

The Rak Overpant features a durable 3-layer nylon eVent DV Expedition shell fabric for the pinnacle of waterproof/breathable and windproof protection. Water-tight, full length YKK VISLON® AquaGuard® zippers keep water out, while making the Rak Overpant super easy to get on over moto boots. There’s a single zippered cargo pocket on the thigh, to keep your necessities close at hand when you’re off the bike, and belt loops to keep your pants up (check out our Autonomous Belt).
