Had to replace stolen gear and bought the new 6.5 protector. Wow! Lighter, more functional design, and new padding materials (similar to D3O) rather than the foamy stuff. Great piece of kit. Works well in really hot weather as it breathes better than previous versions.
I’m a newbie to adventure riding and haven’t yet worn it on a trail. The jersey fit well over my Leatt 6.5 Chest Protection, and was definitely cooler than my gore Tex riding jacket with integrated armor while practicing in a nearby gravel parking lot. I’m 6’1”, 187 lbs, with 40” chest and have size Large jersey.
I should have bought one of these way before.. amazing fit and confidence while riding... must have, esp if you are riding in dangerous roads !!
