The Heavy Duty ADV Lock is perfect for those times when you want a formidable theft deterrent. This large-diameter (8mm) cable lock is bigger and stronger than our Compact ADV Lock, making it a great solution for long-range travel.
Secure your bags before leaving your bike unattended, or keep these installed while riding. They cinch down tight, letting you ride without fear of snags, or prying hands at border crossings and stoplights.

The unique cinch-able cable tightens around the outside of your bag, securing the roll-top and making installation easy, no matter how much (or little) you packed. It also seamlessly integrates with the locking bar found on our Backcountry series bags, a feature that makes it impossible for someone to yank the cable off the roll-top and gain access to your stuff. The bag is also simultaneously locked to the bike, when you pass the lock through your rack, grab handle, or bike frame.
Our ADV locks are made from cut-resistant steel cable, with a bright blue PVC coating for visibility and corrosion resistance. There isn’t a motorcycle luggage lock out there that can stop a determined thief, but visible deterrents will encourage them to pick a different target. The Heavy Duty ADV Lock employs a special high-security key system, and each lock comes with two keys. Contact us for additional spares.
It’s also rugged enough for securing your entire motorcycle in a pinch. Lock the front wheel to your frame or crash bar, or secure the bike to a post. For situations like this, multiple Heavy Duty ADV Locks can even be daisy-chained together to create one long cable.
