Four years with a set of `Backcountry 35's

We set out from Australia in Aug 2016 for an open ended RTW journey on our 2016 Honda Africa Twin. We were early adopters of the first generation Backcountry 35's. I genuinely cannot be happier with our choice of bags. They have been through it all. Across 5 continents, 66 country's and 165,00 kilometres. All weathers, from below freezing to 45 deg C plus, including three slides down the road. Fortunately we were both fine and so was the bike and the bags too I should add. Including remaing fully waterproof throughout. Only recently we took the oppurtunity to purchase and update to the latest generation Backcountry 35's. The originals will now be retired to occasional use on adventures through the Australian outback on another bike. We will continue for years more I am sure with our 16 Africa Twin around the world with our new Backcounty 35's. For reference we can be found at "RTW on a H.A.T." As a final comment, unlike many we are not sponsored in anyway whats so ever.

Super useful - get 4!

Started cross country trip w/ 2 aux pockets - one on each backcountry 35. Added 2 more for return trip for 4 total- 2 on each. This is the move. Worth it for longer trips. They are water tight with liners in or perfect size for 2 fuel bottles, water bottles, thermos or a hydro pack.

Aux Pox

Added two more aux pox just before a trip. They shipped them out right away. I was able to use the waterproof bags during white water rafting on that trip. Dual purpose with the Mosko straps!

Great customer service.

I made a purchase of an offset backcountry pannier set and quality was as expected. I had a slight issue with one of the dry bags since both of them were 25l each so i reached out to customer service and received follo up from Maurice, who took care in no time to send me the 35l drybag missing.

WOODLAND

The 5L Aux Pox mounts on the back and/or front of the Backcountry 35 Pannier using 5 bolts, washers, and tee nuts. It consists of a harness and a removable, welded-seam, roll-top drybag. The harness can also be used without the included drybag, for things like fuel bottles, a hydration reservoir, or a tool roll. At the bottom of the harness is an opening for an MSR dromedary nozzle. There's hypalon armor along the bottom to edge to protect against abrasion, and reflective panels on the outer face for visibility.

Each individual Backcountry Pannier can fit up to two Aux Pox: one on the front and one on the rear. Or you can remove the Aux Pox entirely for a more minimalist fit.
